Its Been a Hot Minute

 Hello Old Friends

I haven't been here since 2018, when the world was Disneyland. Back then, I was like a wood nymph fairy, hiding under the safety of a wide petal, sheltering me from enormous rain drops.

But in 2020 I woke up. We all did. We stepped on to a frozen lake of fear and watched in horror as the ice cracked and we fell in. The black water shocked and caused a sting of cold that took some too fragile and hardened others.

Each day we woke:

To Chaos.

To Division.

To 1984.

To Death.

To all of the wrongness in the world that brought out the worst in humanity and got sprawled across all forms of communication.

To propoganda and misinformation.

To lies.

To the reality that reality is not reality.

Humanity was dragged through a mangle. I was unable to process what I was experiencing. My humble life felt too mundane so I stopped writing here.

I have crawled back, wondering if it is possible to continue to see beauty in the world.

For stories are the only savior. Whether by film, song or written word they help us accept and or escape our fates.

We need magic now. We need to witness the everyday miracles of being here on Earth.

I know its been a hot minute since I've written to you. As I cry out into the ether (as I know no one will read this),  I beg connection to my spirit. It's time to settle down again. Time to write.

Time to come home.
